Code compliant rentals

Posted

We’re currently selling our3 br/3bath house which has 3036 sf including the half finished basement. There is plumbing in the basement for an additional full bathroom. We also have an in-law-suite above our garage with an outside entrance and the equivalent of a 3 br/2bath apartment above our 30’x40’ barn. This totals almost 5000sf.

It’s on a residential 5 acre lot which was previously designated as agricultural. Over the past 8 years, I’ve been raising bees for honey and growing different products which can help the bees production and working on micro-green growth in my barn. It listed under mls:R1395741

i believe the code states that rentals can only be rented to family members or relatives but I don’t remember ever reading that previously. First of all, I wanted to ask if anyone knows, “is it legal to specify who someone can and can’t rent to?”
