Travel Physical Therapist Idea - Real Estate Investing

I am seeking advice of any kind.

I am currently a physical therapist and I am planning in the future to do travel physical therapy around the United States. With that being said, I was wondering if there was any existing models or ideas to be able to real estate invest during different placements. PT placement are typically 13-weeks at a time. I was thinking it would be a great opportunity to analyze real estate in a location that I will be going to and purchase a property in that area to live in and renovate in the mean time. And continue this trend as I move from place to place. With the end result being a flip/rental property.

I was thinking it could also be a great and unique opportunity to go to places that are vacation-esque in nature and potentially using them as short-term/vacation rentals when I leave for the next placement.

I am very handy myself and can do a lot of the work myself. With that, a challenge (amongst others) being managing the property when I am no longer local to that area and or finding trustworthy contractors from place to place.

Perks would be see the US, travel and have "vacation" spots to go to in the future as well as building wealth.

Thank you in advance for any advice and/or constructive criticisms.
