The End of STESSA - Growing too fast to support customers

I've developed a love / hate relationship with Stessa over the past few years. Simply put, when it works, i love it! Unfortunately, there has been little love over the past several weeks... :(  The major issue is Stessa's inability to keep your bank accounts successfully linked. For some unknown reason, my "bank connection" has broken and Stessa's tech support is unable to fix it for 4 weeks now. Thus rendering my account useless. The tech support is terrible. They have a "Chat" feature, except they don't respond for about 2 days!!! How is that a chat feature??? I mean, it actually tells you in the chat box that they typically respond within 1-2 days! LOL Come on now guys! Then you receive an email and it says the problem is usually resolved in 2 weeks. How is a property manager expected to run their business with no daily tracking software for 2, much less 4 weeks!?!?

Bottom line, looks like they grew too fast and now can't support their customers, or just don't care to.

It sure would be great if someone from #Stessa would read this and help us out, but I'm not holding my breath.

What's everyone else using?

How frustrating! 2 days would be annoying in itself but 4 weeks is on another level. If you're looking for something with a tracking and accounting focus, there are options out there. Depends on what your main priority is.

Mike, thanks for sharing your experience. I’m also exploring other softwares. Did you land on using another card one?

@Jasmine, what other ones would you recommend using?

@Mike Dorneman We had that same issue as well with our largest portfolio and it kept happening repeatedly. So we ended up moving to QuickBooks. It now costs us 30 bucks a month, but at least it works.

I still use Stessa for tracking for a smaller portfolio, but I manually put the transactions in from my statements. So no issues there. It was great for us as a starting place to be able to see things, but once we grew enough to support something else the move was a no brainer.

Hope this helps!

I am not sure about Stessa, but I use Buildium to manage for my owners! We love it, our owners love it, and our tenants love it!

Im currently dealing with the same exact issue (trying to get one of my accounts synced). They have told me the folks at Yadlee are working to resolve the issue. I was very excited to give Stessa a try - heard so many great things about it, but if this issue is not resolved soon I'm gonna have to go somewhere else.

Hopefully they get to the bottom of it and fix all these issues for everyone.
