Hi all!

I’m planning on buying and holding a duplex within the next year.

Does anybody have any pieces of advice of things I can do now, in the preparation stage, to prepare for buying a duplex and being a landlord?

Thanks in advance!

HI @Andrea Osborne,

That's super awesome that you are planning on getting your first rental property! I would start networking with a lot of different people in the field such as fellow investors, agents, etc. They have a lot of resources and knowledge that they can share and most would be more than willing to give you guidance. There are numerous ways to prepare to acquire your property, but the most important thing to do is just take small actionable steps every day. Good Luck! If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
