Mililani Hawaii Condo

Taylor Shade
Posted

Investment Info:

Condo buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $387,000
Cash invested: $25,000

2 bedroom/1 bath/2 parking spots. I bought it, replaced the floors, upper cabinets, fully renovated the bathroom, and the bedroom closets.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

I needed a place to live in Hawaii, and I could afford a condo on my own.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

I found it through my real estate agent, it was also posted on the MLS, and I put an offer down on it.

How did you finance this deal?

VA loan

How did you add value to the deal?

I renovated the property and held it.

What was the outcome?

I am still deciding whether to sell or hold.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

This was my first renovation project, I would have done a better job on the floors. I also really want to redo the bottom cabinets.

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

My real estate agent on Oahu is Taylor Cardines, she's great! She works for the Travis Team.
