FL condo as investment property?

Would you advise purchasing a condo in Florida, perhaps Cape Coral and renting out year round?

Seems like you can get a condo with pool access for as little as 150k which should from what I’m seeing get around $1000 a month per rent.

Are condos usually not the best investment because they do not appraise as fast as single family homes?

I was looking at this for the affordability aspect as potential second property.
