Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $269,000
Cash invested: $269,000

Single family home in Portland, Oregon

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Inherited it from my father who had the buy & hold mindset.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Family

How did you finance this deal?

Inherited.

How did you add value to the deal?

Small updates in kitchen so far. Property is at the point where a new roof and siding is needed.

What was the outcome?

Cash-flowing $2200 currently. Property manager helping with this property.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Appreciation location is key when it comes to choosing future investments. Property doubled in value over the course of 30 years.
