Just relocated to NJ advice on investment properties here?
New to the forum, just retired from the service. Own a property in VA(looking to rent it out.)Wife still enlisted, just relocated to NJ for two years looking to maximize investments here in NJ? Any suggestions and advice?( interested in multi family buy and holds + fix and flips)

Those are def easier areas to get into, just be aware around Montclair and anything east of that is very competitive. Union county is much more affordable though, although there is competition due to the affordability over Essex/Bergen and Hudson. If you're going to only be here a few years though and not stick around you could always rent. My philosophy is invest in where you live and/or know. 2 to 4 units are around here though so thats always a plus. Not sure if you can us the VA loan (thats what I used on my second property).
