my first venture into rentals

Investment Info:

Condo buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $195,000
Cash invested: $1,000

Bought then condo when forced to relocate for work. When I moved back to Richmond, VA, I started to rent the condo.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

At the time, it was cheaper than renting.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

It was a repo that someone was flipping. It had been on the market a few months. I low balled the asking price, and got it.

How did you finance this deal?

VA loan

What was the outcome?

Continue to rent.
