Investment Info:

Single-family residence other investment.

Purchase price: $115,000
Sale price: $144,800

This was a home I owned and lived in since 2001. In the last 7 years, I purchased another home so It became a rental. I just sold this home last year.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

It started with not being able to sell it during the crash. I purchased a larger home and kept this home as a rental or 7 years. this was 3 years ago.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

I was a first time home buyer but I enjoyed doing my own research with Zillow. My realtor helped me negotiate it.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Screening for renters. being a landlord can be very frustrating. never make an emotional decision.

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Yes I did
