Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $125,000
Cash invested: $10,000

My fiancee and I are currently house hacking in Atlanta.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

My fiancee inspired my(our) interest in real estate investing. Plus she was ready to get out of the apartment that we were living in.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

We found the property on the MLS.

How did you finance this deal?

We did traditional financing

How did you add value to the deal?

We are remodeling the kitchen. We just finished the bathroom. New roof. Paint coming soon for this property.

What was the outcome?

Well know that we do not like house hacking but we are grateful for the experience. We are going to rent it out when we complete our updates and refinance.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Biggest Challenge: We don't like house hacking. We would rather update homes that we don't live in. :)

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

We worked with a realtor on this deal.
