I found a house on Zillow

Posted

I have found a house. And it is a 4 bedroom 1 bathroom home. . I would like to see if I could turn it into a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom home. I noticed very weird things on the property appraiser with quit claim deeds and multi claim deeds, which I do not understand. This home says It's in foreclosure. And has been listed for 125 days. Should I be weary. I have not yet made an offer. Home built in 1950s

@Jennifer Calarino I would advice you to connect with a local real estate agent. They should be able to answer the deed question. Before closing on a property a title company will preform a title search to check for a clear tile. This search is an examination of public records to confirm a property's legal ownership. You need to know if there's any claims or liens on the property.

It depends on the market but the fact it's been listed for 125 days tells you something's up.
