Investment Info:

Single-family residence other investment in Houston.

Purchase price: $725,000
Cash invested: $145,000

Purchased main home with a garage apartment we're using to house hack. Garage apartment we're renting on Airbnb actively managing all aspects to supplement monthly income and pay for home mortgage.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Significantly reduced overall monthly housing expense.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Found on MLS, put offer in within first day on market and able to secure contract with seller.

How did you finance this deal?

Traditional financing 20% down.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Able to rent unit out for a higher percentage of time than initially planned, however at slightly lower rate. These offsets equaled out relative to initial planning basis.
