Duplexes: Great Way to Start Investing In Real Estate.

Investment Info:

Small multi-family (2-4 units) buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $175,000
Cash invested: $10,000

Purchased as a bank owned Duplex during Great Recession. Required renovation that I completed myself.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

This was my first property. My family sold our existing SFH with a goal to move into a more ideal location. We used this as a temporary housing as well as a great way to jump start real estate investing.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Wife is a Realtor, MLS

How did you finance this deal?

Regional Bank.

How did you add value to the deal?

Rennovations. Bathroom, Kitchen, repaired frozen pipes..
