First Time Flipping a Foreclosure

Investment Info:

Single-family residence fix & flip investment.

Purchase price: $69,000
Cash invested: $10,000
Sale price: $90,000

This was our first live-in flip. We bought the foreclosed condo in the worst condition. At the time, I could not envision it to be somewhere I'd live, let alone raise the baby that we were expecting later that year. With a little bit of encouragement, we jumped into the opportunity. Immediately after closing, we went to the home and started ripping out cabinets and carpets. Within 3 weeks, it was a whole new place. We ended up getting comfortable and staying there a couple years before selling..
