Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment in Crestview.

Purchase price: $189,000

Currently house hacking my current home. I have two military roommates in which I vetted thoroughly to ensure clean, quiet and respectable roommates that pay their bills on time. All in all, I am currently pocketing an extra $1,500 /month.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Wanted to get my feet wet in real estate.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

I was in search of a home for myself and then got the idea to make it into a true asset in which gains profits.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Be thorough and detailed with your tenants. If they jump through all the obstacles in which you placed before them, and still show interest in becoming a tenant, it's a sign that they're clean and ambitious to prove to you that they're the right tenant for you.
