Deciding to go from liability to asset.
Investment Info:
Single-family residence buy & hold investment.
Purchase price: $80,000
Cash invested: $3,000
First home. Flooring replaced, main bathroom refreshed. Occasionally rent out rooms. Looking to move out and rent it as a whole.
What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?
Seeing Forrest Gumps winning at life.
How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?
Originally near my job, got a terrible deal at first.
How did you finance this deal?
Agent's broker friend screwed me over! Learning lessons the hard way.
How did you add value to the deal?
Refinanced to eliminate unnecessary costs.
Lessons learned? Challenges?
Right now I don't like brokers after dealing with a corrupt one for my first home purchase.
Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?
I can't recommend the agent I used because they didn't put my interests first.
