Home ownership. The only real estate I'm in the process of owning right now is the house I live in. I have about 3 years to go before it's all mine.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

I've dreamed of owning my own home all my life, so that I could at least be done with rent.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

My landlord became my friend early on and when his age and failing health made it impossible for him to handle his properties any more he talked his daughters into selling it to me via a land contract.

How did you finance this deal?

We did a land contract.
