gross operating expense ??

hello my name is ricardo . I'm a new person to this site and investing but I am looking to enter it. ok I am looking at a property and I got the mls from the agent and I'm looking at a part where I do not know what it is . it's called a gross operating expenses. I have no clue what that is but it is high . what does it entail thanks for your help.
