Should I invest in a SFH in Dallas-Fort Worth area?

Hi guys,

My name is Beth and I am a Virginia resident looking to invest in a SFH in the Dallas-fort worth area for a buy and hold purpose. I have never even been to Dallas so my knowledge in the city demographics, GDP and work force is low but as I was doing my due diligence on the web, I did learn there is a lot of immigration to the Dallas area which is a plus. Also one new addition to the economy might be Amazon HQ2 establishment which would be huge for the area. That being said, my question is, are SFH good for renting purposes in that area? How fast can I rent it out once owned.? My budget is up to 225k. Thanks in advance, I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

Beth
