Crack in Exterior Brick Wall

Hi BP,

I am currently trying to come up with an offer for an off market deal. The duplex I am looking at has a crack in the exterior wall. Being in Texas, i do not believe the brick to be of any structural support. What should I look at to figure out what may have caused this or the extent of possible damage? Foundation shifting? Moister? I have not had a chance to see the inside yet. Sorry for the drive-by picture. The crack appears to be filled.

Would this crack scare you away? If not, how do i incorporate it into my offer?
