When Flipping, create a space buyers will remember

In the houses we have rehabbed, we have always tried to have an area or two that really stand out and get the potential buyers attention. Some times with a little planning you can do this cheaply and easily. Below is a recent area we did that worked out well and got a lot of compliments. This house had a large open basement, so we added a wet bar to marke the entire space convenient for entertaining. This particular area was one of the cheapest areas of the house to do and turned out to be one of the most popular.

The 'pallet wall' was literally that. We took a bunch of 3.00 used pallets and pulled the boards off to re-purpose for our wall. The tabletop was a butcher block piece we purchased at a local box store. The stands for the table and counter were made from galvanized pipe and fittings from the box store as well. Yes the guy was a little annoyed with me in the pipe aisle as he cut all the pieces to my requested lengths LOL. The look was unique and really set this house apart.
