My first year (and change) !

I wanted to take the new year as an opportunity to refresh my mindset and become more active in the practices that gave me a super charged start in this business. So I decided to take more time to listen to podcasts in the car instead of music, and take more time to become an active member of the BP community.

I joined BP in '15 and made a few basic posts asking questions for financing and generally any information to help me get started. In a few short weeks of posting my wife and I had arranged a sit down with a local agent/investor to discuss our goals and ways of achieving them. We had explained to him that 1 property a year would be an amazing goal that we didn't really think we would achieve but we would try our hardest and work as a team.

That meeting was in spring 2015. As of two days ago we now have 4 properties, 6 units, and a wondeful business/ family relationship. Now my 5-10 year goal of exiting the rat race, doesn't seem very realistic, I am hoping for much sooner :) This site is amazing, with just a few posts we found someone who took us under his wing and showed us the ropes, how to avoid the mis-steps and really how to go from a couple of dreamers to a couple of real estate investors with multiple deals under our belt in about 15 months.

@Ian Hoover <--- Reach out to this guy. Thanks Buddy!

Here's to a great 2017!
