Child Support Lien question
Hi guys,
I'm researching a property to buy and i was giving the county records a search and found that a child support lien in the amount of about $25,000 is in place against a man (the obligor) whose address is written on the lien as the property I'm researching. The lien states that it is attached to all real property owned by the obligor. Now in my research, i can't find where his name is anywhere on the property as an owner. The house only shows up in the woman's (the obligee's) name.
So i ask you, if he is not an owner of the property, does that mean the lien is NOT attached to the property I'm looking into?
My analysis shows that this may be a killer deal, but this lien would kill it for me depending on if its is on this property or not.
Let me know if i need to give more info, but i hope that was clear...
Thanks,
