While driving along Route 219 out of PA heading for buffalo NY i notice that there was a alarmingly large amount empty/abandon homes along route 219 leading to buffalo, i understand that this area is somewhat remote from industry and a bit out in the country but most of these homes look to be in excellent shape, as if you purchased a new home for 200k+ and just walked out, i can imagine that these are foreclosures but i did not see any notices on the doors/ nor any signs in the yards just tall grass and homes left to waste, are the NY investors/flippers on here not looking in these areas or is there something about the market in that stretch of the state that is a no-go? just curious because if it has just been overlooked there are a large amounts of possible deals there.  i prefer buy an hold but i counted 22 homes from PA line to buffalo.   about 15 of them looked as if they were build last year or so.  was not sure where to post this info, the area is a bit far from my target area to work and as stated i prefer not to flip at this stage in my path, but wanted to share the info for those who dont mind taking a drive in the country to hunt these homes if they are a deal.

Best of luck to all.
