Possible good opportunity for first house in Pittsburgh

About a month ago, I found out my Fiance's Aunt and Uncle we're selling their old house in Mt. Washington that they haven't lived in the passed 8-9 years or so. I didn't believe that they still owned it until I looked the info up on the Allegheny County Assessment website. From what they we're telling me was that the judge told them to get rid of it by any means by the end of August or potentially be sued. I learned from the assessment website that they owe around $16,000 in taxes not including this year, and the guy told us we would have to make $500 payments each month. They're not sure if there are any liens on the house, her uncle believes he doesn't owe anything on passed utilities but I can't take his word for it. I'm still all new to this and I was told to get Title Insurance and a title search. I have no idea anything about that stuff yet, on how much it could cost, how long it would take, and would it give me all information I need to make sure I don't have any other hidden debts that would come a long with the house. They told me that the bank doesn't want to have anything to do with the house.

The house obviously needs some work from sitting for so long, but my father and I do our own remodeling and went in to check the place out and feel we could get right in and out of there and hopefully rent it out. I've lived in Mt Washington all of my life and feel like it's getting even more popular with rentals with people buying them left and right, I don't want to pass this opportunity up if I can make it work. I don't have a lot of money but I could pay a few months of the taxes in advance and pay for the material to get the house done. Hopefully there's nothing else that comes a long that I don't know about.

They don't want anything for the house, they're willing to just give it to me (sell it for $1 or whatever needs to be done) just to get it out of their name so they can move on from it.

I have some pictures of the place if anybody is interested in checking them out.

Mainly I'm just here to ask for some advice in my current situation. It's greatly appreciated.

Thanks
