out of state llc for rentals

Hello Community! I am from New York, but have found a private deal for a rental property out of state. Can someone point me in the right direction in terms of taxes and LLC liabilities. Does my LLC need to be registered in that state, or does the title just the name of my New York LLC on it? Also, what are the state income tax liabilities? Any answers or articles/ resource titles would be most appreciated.
