OK - so I quit working for W2 about 4 years ago. About 8 years ago I passed the non-profit music school for kids that I set up over to Patrisha, and went into RE full time. At first, she continued to garner nice revenues from the school, but as students left, she didn't replace.

And yesterday, Patrisha informed her remaining students that she is retiring and we are moving to Arizona. People had heart attacks, and most were jelous...

I am 41. Patrisha is 36. We work hard -- on things we want to work on, with people we want to work with, and NEVER for W2 or 1099 income.

We are not rich, but we are better off than anyone we went to college with. We are never where we are not wanted. To a much larger extent than 99% of the population, we say who, when, and how.

I set out to ensure that if I get taken out by MS, my family will be OK - done! And this is just the beginning!!!

You guys who are new and idealistic - I am very much a pessimist. BUT - don't listen to me! Take your puches -- get up -- and punch it in the teeth.

Good Luck!

PS. I firmly believe that the people one surrounds himself with has dramatic impact on the outcome. With this in mind, a big thanks to:

@Brandon Turner, @Brian Burke, @Serge S., @Joshua Dorkin, @Darren Sager, and Justin Gesso, and of course my wife, Patrisha Leybovich - the reason I do all this stuff!!!
