Property Hunting in Atlanta

Hello all,

I am getting ready to head out to the states in a couple of weeks from Okinawa.  I will be heading to Atlanta in hopes to finding my first rental property.  I am in the market for a 2-4 plex type property and hope to find something that will suit my needs.  Living overseas, one of the biggest challenges I will have to face will be managing my property from a distance, therefore I will need to make some good contacts and trustworthy business relationships.  So going into this, I know one thing I can do up front before I leave is start looking at some financing options.

I already have a few mortgage brokers I am planning on getting in touch with, but does anyone have any good suggestions brokers in the greater Atlanta area?

Secondly, one of the most important things I will need will be a good property manager as well especially considering I live in Japan.

Lastly anything else major that I could/should do in order to prep for my trip?  I am very excited to look at properties and hope to find something that will suit my needs, but that said it is my first..so there will be much to learn.  Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Adam
