Question on a Deed Transfer from a Realty Trust to LLC

Hi I wanted to see if anyone could answer this question. I have a client where the property is currently owned in a Realty Trust. The owner is looking to deed it into an LLC owned by his son. This home is being renovated & will be sold with in 6-8 months. Should he deed it over for a 1.00 to avoid the tax stamps ? Or should he deed it over for the price he purchase it for & the llc pay the tax stamps. Any accountants want to chime in. Any help greatly appreciated.
