Deal or not? 250K home for 233K
I have an absentee homeowner with a house in Oakland, TN, just outside of Memphis. The house was built in 2006, about 3300 sq ft, would rent for about $1,550/mo. She's been relocated to California and is not interested in renting the house and doesn't want to go through the hassle of listing it with an agent.
Someone she knows is living there now just keeping an eye on things. I think the house is worth $255K. She just wants to get out of the mortgage. The remaining balance is $233K. It seems to me that this would be a good retail deal but there's not much room in here for a wholesale deal. Does anybody see any other option?
