Where to find correct property tax value of a home

Hey guys,

So I am analysing properties in Houston and when I look at various websites, for instance realtor.com, they usually have a number for how much the property taxes are for that property. One can also check the Harris County website for the same information.

For a specific property, Realtor.com said that the property taxes are $2498 per year, while the Harris County website said it is $799 per year (?!). What number should one trust?

Where do you find your tax information about the properties you analyse?

Thanks in advance! :)
