I don't know how international press are showing brazilian crises to the world. But i know for sure what is going on around here. I live in Rio de Janeiro and for more than 30 years i follow the economic issues and growth. There is an area called Zona Sul (mainly Ipanema, Leblon, Lagoa) where real states are always a great deal. The thing is nowadays it is possible to have one "real" (brazilian currency) with a quarter dollar!! It never happened before with "real"!! It means it is possible to buy a nice Ipanema condo for US 250 thousand. Note that it didn't decrease its value in "real", it increased in fact. It happens due to brazilian currency. Properties in Zona Sul never decrease its value. When this crises ends those who have condos in Zona Sul will surely be happy and really make profits.
