Figuring out best way to meet LT goals

I am just getting started in real estate investing. I am looking for investment income in 12-15 years for retirement and I do not want to generate income currently. I currently have cash to invest and I just recently purchased three SFR that I plan to hold long term. The more podcasts I listen to, the more ways I start thinking about how I can do an investment deal. I never realized the amount of ways to put a deal together. I currently am in an info gathering and analysis mode. I want to see how the three I've purchased go and work on my LT strategy to reach my goals. I'm looking for advice on how to generate a future income stream for retirement. Any feedback would be appreciated. Would love advice from you investors out there!
