Rental Property in Detroit
I was considering investing in Detroit. I was wondering if anybody was familiar with how easy or difficult it is to get and maintain renters on the east side of Detroit? I would be targeting primarily section 8 renters. I was told to buy on the west side, but the east side has the best deals. Secondly, is it difficult to pass city inspections in order to rent out the property, and do you really have to have all work done by a certified contractor?
Thanks for any and all advice.
