Podcast 105 with Ophelia
Hey BP friends
Just listened to BP podcast 105 with Ophelia Nicholson. Awesome!
Here's an intriguing question posed on the podcast — why are there not more women doing Fix and Flips?
Is this a "male dominated" niche?
This gal (ME) plans on dominating (podcast 108 with Grant Cardone) Fix and Flips in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Who is with me? Looking for Partners to make a winning combination (podcast 107 with Jonathan Makovsky).
Let's connect!

I agree more women could be involved in real estate and they might be hesitant to do so because it is a primarily male-dominated industry.
Personally, I do a LOT of rehabs in the buy and hold space. Almost every property I work with needs some amount of rehab. I personally LOVE to buy fixer-uppers for cheap, and put my own personal touch on them. In the rental market I'm in, when you have tenants looking for rentals, 95% of the time it's the WOMAN who comes to the showing. If she brings her man along with her, it seems like he lets her make the decision -- if she's happy, he's happy.
So when I renovate, I try to do so with my eye toward what a woman would look for -- spend the most time on the kitchen and bathrooms. Also make the master bedroom a really nice space. Although it seems silly, small details like putting out air fresheners, fake flowers, playing some music when showing, and having nice curtains add to making the place feel like home.
As far as flips, I really don't get into those. But the renovations I do work on, could turn the home into a good retail sale (or investor sale) one day.
