I have always been a fan of GSA deals but have never had the guts to pull the trigger.  Of the structures below what do you see as a good use for these odd structures?  Residential, apocalypse shelter, massive paintball plex, vacation home, windmill farm???

The Stanley Mickelsen Safeguard Complex (SRMSC) is an Anti-Ballistic Missile complex which was developed to preserve the United States’ second strike capability against Soviet nuclear missile attacks. The property is located in North Dakota and was the United States’ first Anti-Ballistic Nuclear Missile Defense System. The SRMSC became operational in 1975 and was deactivated in 1976. Since then, the property has been in caretaker status.

The MSR site offers approximately 431 acres with various buildings totaling 258,441 square feet

The property includes the approximately 10 acres of ledge know as Graves Island, the conical lighthouse structure, the attached dock and the oil house. The Graves Light, built in 1903, is a 113' high five story granite block cylindrical tower. http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucdsclnk?sl=BOSTN113019001#.UwQZn0tS-PU.facebook

The Property consists of 125.25 fee acres, more or less, a 0.21 acre water line easement, and a 0.04 acre railroad spur line easement. This includes about 2,714,075 sq. ft. of underground storage facility.
The man-made cavern was formed as a result of room-and-pillar limestone mining operations at the Property that took place from 1886 to 1944, creating two interconnected mines, known as the East Mine (about 15 acres) and the West Mine (about 45 acres).
The developed portion of the mine, about 1,013,000 sq. ft. http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucdsclnk?sl=FTWOR713005001#.UwQUvikDyN0.facebook

The light tower is a steel oil drilling platform, known as a “Texas Tower” on top of four steel legs that have been modified to be used as a lighthouse. The platform consists of two floors. The subfloor is a living area of approximately 5,000 square ft. that includes five bedrooms, kitchen, office, storage area, recreation area and toilet facilities. http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucdsclnk?sl=PEACH412011001#.UwQWF2IehX0.facebook

On top of Manana Island, 10 miles off the coast of Maine, is the former Coast Guard Signal Station. This maritime setting is picturesque with panoramic views of the ocean, rolling fields and Smutty Nose Island. A short boat ride across the bay is Monhegan Island which is home to fisherman, artists & writers.http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucdsclnk?sl=BOSTN113011001#.UwQa1uxH6XY.facebook

Building 240 is located at the Former Griffiss Air Force Base on Hill Road near the intersection with Brook Road. The property consists of 7.897 acres of land improved with the main building known as Building 240 (117,323 sq ft) along with two support buildings known as Building 247 (13,199 sq ft) and Building 248 (4,000 sq ft). http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucdsclnk?sl=BOSTN113030001#.UwQT2unesfA.facebook
