Robert McDonald, The new V.A. Secretary just announced an additional $207 million dollars in funding for grants to help up to 70,000 veterans and their families keep their homes. This news was bolstered with an announcement from the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development stating that they would dedicate $62 million dollars toward a rental assistance program to bring 9000 homeless vets off the street. This will help but not solve this crisis given the magnitude of the problem. We all need to join together to help our Veterans.

Many REBSEA members are active supporters of Veterans Organizations and some have created Nonprofits and Foundations that specifically work towards providing employment and housing for homeless Vets. Anyone buying, selling, financing, or insuring a home can became an active supporter helping Vets by handling their transaction with a REBSEA member. REBSEA members will donate a portion of their commission to a Nonprofit that aids Veterans. The REBSEA Veterans Leadership CommitteeVeterans Leadership Committee is a team of REBSEA members who understand the dynamics and struggles of our returning heroes and their families. Many members of the Veterans Leadership committee are Veterans, or are family members of Veterans and/or disabled Veterans.

REBSEA urges Nonprofit organizations that support our Veterans to join REBSEA as a NPO Member at no cost and work with their local REBSEA Members to direct donations to their organization at NO COST to them and with no restrictions.
