Is this a good or bad deal?

Crime in the area is existent but not rampant. Trulia claims larceny in the neighborhood. 

The house calls for almost an entire remodel so after the repairs, this will practically be a new house. 

Never done a deal before so any feedback would be great. 

I don't have it in contract, but I also just saw the place like 3 hours ago. It's an off market deal.
