Investment Info:

Small multi-family (2-4 units) other investment.

Purchase price: $188,000
Cash invested: $10,000
Sale price: $460,000

While still in college I bought and lived in a grandfathered duplex in Provo, UT. I get a really great deal on it and the rent from the 2nd unit covered most of the mortgage. Once I finished my undergraduate degree and moved out, I netted 15k annually from rent. It was easy to keep a high occupancy rate with the location being close to 2 universities. Once I moved out of state and the house had appreciated in value significantly, I sold it for a profit and now I'm itching to do it again.
