Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Property is currently used as a STR and MTR

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

We like older properties and rebounding neighborhoods. They have a unique feel. This house was ideally located and priced.

How did you add value to the deal?

we just gave the place an overall facelift.

What was the outcome?

So far, the verdict is still out. The challenge has been a 20% increase in available STRs in Albuquerque and troubled economy. We are leveraging the reputation we have established to jump start this one ...but its been a challenge.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Try to select properties that cash flow in the short, mid AND long term!
