My First Successful Deal

Investment Info:

Small multi-family (2-4 units) buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $230,000

Initial purchase of three units. Sold one unit to pay for renovations to the other two, and charge monthly rent for two units. Property has increased in value by $30K, even with the third unit gone.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

I was looking for investment experience and passive income.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

I utilized a trusted agent who I carefully communicated a specific list of criteria to.

How did you finance this deal?

I utilized a VA home loan.

How did you add value to the deal?

I sold one of three units to pay for the renovations for the other two.

What was the outcome?

An increase in property value of $30K and $600/month in rental income.

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

I recommend Grisel McGurty from Berkshire Hathaway.
