Investment Info:

Single-family residence fix & flip investment.

Purchase price: $521,000
Cash invested: $450,000
Sale price: $1,775,000

This was a property that we bought and lived in, renovated, added an ADU, and then sold 5 years later.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

It's what we could afford at the time and knew with some sweat equity (and my husbands expertise in building/remodeling homes with his dad) would pay off.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Bought it from a probate situation

How did you finance this deal?

Standard Fannie Mae loan

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Takes a lot longer to renovate a house you're also living in. But well worth it in the end.

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Suzanne Fortune of the Fortune Group at Windermere Woodinville Washington
