My 1st Home Became my 1st Investment Property!

Kanisha Dillard

Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

First investment property, small single family home.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

I've been interested in passive real estate investing for the last 2 years. I "fell" into it when I quickly relocated to Columbus, Ohio!

Lessons learned? Challenges?

I still need to find a rental property manager and/or automated system. The home is older and with more people living in it, things are needing to be replaced. I need to figure out how to get to 1% profit, when my property would be overpriced with other comparable rentals in the area.

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

In the Sacramento, California area I recommend Jeff Johnson! I was able to purchase my first property with no money down because he utilized different State programs that were available.

@Kanisha Dillard If you need a property manager since your out of area, I know of a good property manager that charges a flat fee of $100.0 instead of the normal 10% fee. You can PM for their info because I think I am not supposed to promate people on the forums.
