In need of some APN/lot help

Hey, Biggerpockets fam!

In need of some help with a client! The issue we are having is she has two addresses but it is on one single APN/lot. She wants to be able to split the lot into two and sell both lots separately but the issue we are running into is that when looking into the parcel, the county of Los Angeles only sees one of the addresses as valid with the correct APN. We are unsure of how to move forward with this and any advice would be appreciated!
