Finally made the plunge into the short term rental market

Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $612,000
Cash invested: $200,000

Our first foray into STR vacation rental.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

We have always wanted a vacation home of our own near the parks.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

We had stayed in a short term rental in this specific community before, it was a new construction build direct from the builder.

Finding contractors is a bit challenging in this particular market. Lesson learned - We can never squeeze as much into a day as we think we can
