Investment near Houston(I am new please be kind :))

Guys,

I really need your help! I recently got a job in houston and looking to relocate for 1-2 years and then move back to NY. I have to go to work 1-2 times a week so I don't really mind areas far from Houston city. I am looking for something that is cash flowing after I leave(or atleast that can break-even). I will use a property managemetn company after.

 Please can someone suggest areas I should look at? Preferrably something that is not in flood zone :) Any help is appreciated! I am looking to get something in a month :)

My budget is 400-500k.
