Cash invested: $5,000
Sale price: $135,000

This was a 'house hack' before the term was used! We bought the house as our primary and used it over the years to generate equity to leverage additional real estate purchases, and held as a rental for almost 10 years and self managed the entire time. We then sold and used the equity to buy a vacation home, which we are now leveraging for additional equity for a short term rental purchase.
