2 bed 1.5 bath single family in Aurora IL

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

I was inspired by listening to the bigger pockets podcast

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Found on the MLS and didn't negotiate on the price because the market was so hot at the beginning of the pandemic

How did you finance this deal?

FHA loan

How did you add value to the deal?

Remodeled the house while living in it

What was the outcome?

Still living in it as a primary residence

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Learned that it was possible to buy a house. Took away alot of fear on the process because there is not as many unknowns now

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Agent Chris Goff, Goosehead Insurance, Preferred Rate Mortgage lender, and House Doctor home inspection company all helped me through the process. I don't know what I don't know but they were all helpful to a first time home buyer and got me through the process. Would recommend to another
