How to go about persuading a seller on a property that I want?

I’ve been talking to a seller about a 4plex that I really want, he has a buyer that wants another of his property. The seller isn’t sure on which one he wants to sell. I followed up with him 3 times, he wants more time to decide on which way he wants go. Should I continue to follow up or wait for him to contact me? I appreciate any advice
